Happy Anniversar-Eve!

Today is Michael Jonathan Van Schooneveld and my seventh anniversary. "Seven" is legit, no? It sounds closer to 10 than 5.

Last year, I posted this poem for him. The year before that, I posted this awful video for him. This year, I'll go easy on him, and just tell you what we did yesterday for our Seventh Anniversar-Eve together.

First, we slept in. Hooray for sleep! Next, we tried driving up into the mountains to have one of our infamous adventures. The adventure was that it was way too rainy to have any adventures in the mountains, so we drove back down to town to watch The Sorcerer's Apprentice. It was fun.

Then we went to Cheyenne Mountain State Park to take a hike. Can you believe Mike made me hike 4 miles after doing Pikes the day before? It was really a very beautiful place to hike. So idllyicly montane, that I expected a cougar to jump out at any second and eat us.

Then we had a lovely picnic dinner together under the sunset and the lights of Norad. Mike brought strawberries and aged gouda and rosemary bread. It was fabulous.

Love you, Mike!

Fun fun! I love you sweetheart. (Gagging noises in background) The fun things about the picture is that the entrance to NORAD is center stage right behind Amber in the first pic. Who knew it was such a lovely place to picnic? No wonder there was so much romance on Stargate!

You forgot to mention all the turkeys we saw!! Dozens of turkeys of all sizes directly to the left of where we took this picture. Tiny baby turkeys. Gobble gobble gobble!

Happy Anniversary you two lovebirds! Glad you had a wonderful anniversar-eve. Hoping for 60 more just like this one...well, minus the entrance to Norad and such. :)
